During the procedure, a special laser will gently remove old skin from your face layer by layer. New skin cells are then formed during the healing process to promote a tighter, fresher, and younger look.
Small areas of the face may be treated with a local anesthetic and take 30-45 minutes while a whole face laser resurfacing may require general anesthesia and take up to 2 hours.
Recovery
In 5-7 days your skin will become dry and peel, and the healing cycle can take 10-21 days depending on treatment. Some swelling or redness is normal following treatment and steroids may be prescribed to manage it.
