Is an Arm Lift Right for You?

Short Sleeves Are Here to Stay.

Excessive weight loss or the effects of aging can leave your upper arm with sagging skin and a loss of shape. An arm lift, or brachioplasty, removes that excess skin and fat deposits to restore the youthful contours of your arm.

How does an arm lift work?

Some incisions will be made on your arm to allow the underlying tissues to be tightened and excess skin to be removed. The incisions are then stitched or taped shut.

What is the recovery like?

Your arms will be bandaged to contain swelling and small tubes may be placed in the arms to drain any excess blood or fluid. A compression sleeve may be worn for a few weeks to help with swelling. Physical activities that may stretch the incisions should be avoided for 4-8 weeks following the procedure.

How long do the results last?

The results of an arm lift are relatively permanent and can be best maintained with a stable weight and general fitness.
